During this course we talked a lot about youth emotional development - the video below just continues to touch on all of those ideas. Children who are affected by emotional trauma while growing up are more likely to have many other problems when they grow up, including higher risks of cancer and other diseases. This was shocking to me, however, the video discussed how important it is for every child, no matter family income level, to receive health care.
I believe this concept is something that I hope companies in California, and other states, continue to keep in mind when opening clinics. The ability for children to have the support they need is extremely beneficial.
